Sally is married, and together with her husband Dave, has a blended family with five adult children. All five kids, Megan, Cody, Louise, Jaimie and Quinn have grown up on the Coffs Coast.
Sally is an environmental scientist with a career spanning almost 30 years. She studied a Bachelor of Applied Science in Coastal Management at SCU Lismore and later completed a PhD, also through SCU. She has built a deep understanding the natural environment of northern NSW, working for various organisations including National Parks and Wildlife Service, NSW State Forests, Coffs Harbour City Council and the Office of Environment and Heritage. She has also worked as a consultant in Australia and Papua New Guinea. Recently, she spent a number of years working on the area’s largest infrastructure project, the Pacific Highway upgrade.
She is passionate about getting the best triple bottom line outcome, a role which she has avidly pursued in her six years on Coffs Harbour City Council. Recognised by many as being the voice for accountability on Council, she is not afraid to ask the hard questions and keep asking them. She is running as an Independent for Coffs Harbour to give voters a powerful option which will represent the community and not vested political or commercial interests. If you are tired of the community of Coffs Harbour being under-valued, vote for Sally. Its time for a change!
